Congratulation My Friend...

One of my friend working at Satyam Computer Services Ltd in Cyberjaya was posted to Singapore for his next project. He said he will be there for at least 2 years. I asked how bout the salary? He said they will pay him around $3000 (Singapore dollar, not RM). "Wah!, Bagus-bagus" I said.

He called me up yesterday and told me that his posting was confirmed. He thanked me for guiding him last time, and he said he wouldn't be at his current position without me. HUH?! Guided? When i did that? As for my concern i never did anything for him! haha.

What i did was this (it happened last year before our graduation):
Me:"Satyam akan datang untuk interview kat UTeM esok, so tryla pergi"
Friends:"Datang UTeM? malas la..."
Me:"Pergi la, ade makan free..."
Friends:"Makan FREE? OK! Kami akan pegi"
(Well, they did went to the interview, not because of free food but they were searching for job by then)
And only one of them managed to pass all the test and basic qualifications Saytam wanted. He was called for interview there.

After few days, he told me that he was quite disappointed as the convocation is around the corner and he was not able to find any job.
he said:"Jumaat ni dah nak konvo, saya masih belum dapat kerja lagi, ntah apa nak cakap ngan parents saya nanti..."
And without thinking much, these words just came out from my mouth:
"jangan risaula, Satyam akan call dan tawar kerja sebelum Rabu ini."
I said that because I know his capability and I was so confident that he will get the job from Satyam.
He is bit lazy but very committed in workings.

He told me on Wednesday:
"Aku dapat call dari Satyam, dah confirm dapat kerja sana. Ini antara hadiah birthday aku yg paling best. Jumaat ni boleh bagi tau parents aku dah dapat kerja!"
"Waa tahniah tahniah" I told him, and at the same time i was thinking:("huh, nasib baik apa yang saya cakap betul-betul berlaku! haha"). Well, just a coincident. Haha

he jointed Satyam and after the training he was posted in Bank Negara Malaysia's project. Now he is posted to Singapore for his next project.
He made so far not because of me but because of his capabilities and skills. He is very good in technical skills. His knowledge and efforts creates good chances and brings him to better positions.

I really appreciate that he still thank me for helping him last time (is that considered help? haha...)

Seeing my friends doing well in industry and successful in their life, it motivates me to work harder too! Thanks guys.

Good luck my friend! All the best.
