FTMK offered me part-time lecturer post for the coming semester.
At first they offered the Intelligence System Development subject. Wah! AI? it is a tough subject!
But luckily i was assigned Manufacturing Information Technology subject for Diploma students. I will be teaching the Manufacturing student! Guess i need to get myself familiar with those manufacturing terms first... ERP, SAP... huhu
wish me luck!

No body is perfect, including me. I do hope you all learn something from this course.

It seems I had abandon my blog for more than 2 weeks.
Was super busy with the Infosys Foundation Program and also Java Stream Course. Running and managing 2 programs at the same time really drills up my energy completely.
My long lost friend visits me again during this period. Who was that? The super painful Gastric Problem. huhu...
Anyway, both programs ended successfully. kinda fell lonely without being super busy today... hahaha...
In total i gave lecture for 11 days, so there is some $$ coming in. hehe.
i also made a new record of invigilating 7 hours of test in 1 day. huh!
So, am back! will try to update this blog sooner.

Java Stream Course - updates
After discussing with the SPOC, she agreed to my suggestions and approved it.
So there are some changes to the schedules and the modules.
1. The advance J2EE module is dropped from the course. We think it will be too difficult for the students to handle.
2. We added extra day for the projects, hoping that they can do it and wouldn't be too tense like previously.
3. We made the final test optional, actually i wanted to remove it since some students quit when they heard there will be a hands on exam. But Prof said it wouldn't be fair for those who wanted to test how much there gain through this course. So we made it optional. We encourage those who want to test their level to sit for the exam.
4. The assignments are also not compulsory to submit. Whats the point of copy-paste answers just because they were forced to submit on time. So after this they can have more time understanding the assignments and doing it themselves. We still enable the submission for those who wants to submit their works.
Are we going to conduct the same course next time? May be yes, but only selected students can join. So there will be some criteria for selections. We want those who can really go through it next time.

Java Course - am i doing it right?
yesterday i felt a bit depressed, a bit confused.
am i guiding the students or the other way round?
am i helping them?
was what i did correct?
am i expecting too much from them?
Adakah saya keterlaluan? Adakah expectation saya terlalu tinggi?
Am i torturing them too much?
Setelah berbincang dengan Najwan, kami conclude that the course content is too much for the student's level. He told me that i should not expect the same standard as those went for training in India.
Saya kesian tengok mereka struggling to survive. Some of them are already at their limit. I found that my expectation was bit too high until they felt depressed.
The content of the course seems too much for the student's level. Kalau Prof minta untuk pelaksanaan kursus ini pada masa depan, may be saya akan fikir 2 kali.
I don't mind if the students hate me because of the Java Course, but i do hope they wouldn't hate Java Programming because of me.
